Humans are strange beings. We are always running after what we think we need, taking for granted what we already have. As the first world develops scientifically, inventing more gadgets, it hasn't made us in a more developed state. It has done the complete opposite. Folks nowadays prefer staying home looking through their newsfeed, finding out what's going on in peoples' lives instead of going out into the world and interacting with those said people who they spend their time wallowing after online. The World Wide Web has become an infectious disease. Upon visiting fellow friends, family, colleagues, before asking them about how they are doing, you ask them for the password for their WiFi. You sit between a crowd of people, and more than a third of them have their mobiles in their hands updating their statuses and checking in. And once that is done, they continue to check their phones periodically every time it rings or vibrates, expecting a notification from someone, anyone, just someone to let them know they care, they 'liked' my picture, commented on my status, anything, something to just feel recognized, admired. To quote someone very wise, we are in an era of smart phones and stupid people. The more we move forward with technology, our social skills, our ethics, our manners, our mindset, it all deteriorates. With every step technology makes forward, human beings are three steps behind. Beings have become superficial. No longer caring for what really matters, filling their emptiness with materialistic things. Letting the internet, media, affect their way of thinking. People have become brainwashed, believing anything that is posted online without having it be verified by actual sources. As quickly as technology arises in our daily lives, people will not know the value of life until it is demolished. Everything in life has positive and negative sides, if technology was used in a smart and safe manner, it would do amazing wonders for the world and it's people, it just needs an extra push, that extra effort of good natured people, to teach, inspire and encourage everyone about the good they can bring to the world.
